Construction Manager

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of the project including contractual, budget, resources, design, procurement, construction, quality, and safety.
• Lead the project team to ensure timely implementation and execution of works, driving project completion within the set timeline.
• Estimate costs, establish budgets, and conduct ongoing project cost monitoring to ensure financial efficiency.
• Maintain close communication with clients, architects, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure project alignment and success.
• Conduct regular site safety meetings and implement safe working conditions and environmental control measures.
• Review method statements, check for drawing discrepancies, and ensure adherence to project specifications and technical clarifications.
• Supervise and mentor project team members and subcontractors, fostering accountability and ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks.
• Train and guide Project Engineers, enhancing their skills and professional growth.
• Ensure all project deliverables meet required quality standards and specifications
• Efficiently allocate resources to meet project requirements.
• Manage and document changes to the project scope, ensuring all changes are communicated and approved.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and address concerns promptly.
• Ensure all project activities comply with relevant regulations.
• Perform any other tasks deemed necessary for project success.

Role Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification recognized by the Professional Engineers Board Singapore or accreditation as a Professional Project Manager (PPM) by the Singapore Project Management Institute (SPM).
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management
• Demonstrated experience in managing the safety and timely delivery of large-scale projects.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
• Excellent project management skills, including the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
• Experience with industrial or treatment plant projects in Singapore
• Familiarity with local construction codes and standards.
