Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and creative PR Intern to join our team! This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in public relations, media relations, and strategic communications.
Responsibilities
Contribute to day-to-day account implementation, supporting other team members in ensuring the efficient delivery of the communications plan.
The role will see you supporting with account, media and influencer management as well AS contributing to shoots, events and new business pitches. There will be opportunities to flex your creative writing skills for a range of assets and mediums, from press releases to video scripts and social media posts.
Client handling
Attend client meetings, draft agendas and contact reports
Keep up-to-date record of forthcoming editorial coverage
Support with compiling monthly or project reports
Proactively put forward suggestions/ideas to account teams
Media monitoring
Daily media monitoring
Proactively monitor and flag trends or coverage from clients’ competitors, market, or industry
Media and influencer management
Build media/influencer relations skills and pitch stories/partnerships
Update and manage media/influencer databases
Copywriting
Research and write press releases and marketing copy i.e. newsletters, advertorials, social media copy
Shoots and events
Attend and support at video and/or photoshoots
Support with event coordination including liaising and negotiating with suppliers, assembling media packs, arranging logistics and team diaries, whilst keeping teams and clients up to date
NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Undertake research to support new business pitch decks
Attend and contribute to brainstorms and planning sessions
Qualifications
Current communications student from a local university
