At Rakuten Taiwan Ecosystem Department, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as Senior Specialist, Business Process Optimization. This role will focus on analyzing, designing, and implementing process improvements across Rakuten ecosystem’s industries, including e-commerce (EC), fintech, and sports.
The Senior Specialist will work closely with internal departments such as Finance, HR, Procurement, and Legal Operations to identify inefficiencies, streamline workflows, and enhance operational effectiveness. Additionally, the incumbent will be involved in coordination and execution of various initiatives and activities conducted by Taiwan Ecosystem Department, ensuring seamless operations and contribution to overall Taiwan strategic goals.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process optimization, excellent problem-solving and change management skills, good understanding of corporate functions and the ability to collaborate and communication with cross-functional teams to drive meaningful change.
Overview of Role:
- Enhance efficiency and effectiveness by streamlining internal processes across Finance, HR, Procurement, and Legal Operations.
- Align internal processes with business goals and industry best practices to support Rakuten Ecosystem industries (e-commerce, fintech, and sports).
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the organization.
- Deliver measurable improvements in cost, time, and quality of internal operations and cross-functional activities.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze inefficiencies in Finance, HR, Procurement, and Legal processes, and recommend areas for improvement and control.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Rakuten Ecosystem businesses (EC, fintech, and sports) to understand business priorities, develop actionable solutions, and drive operational improvements.
- Diagram and evaluate existing processes, develop metrics that provides data for process management, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities.
- Collect data for root cause analysis and measure performance against process requirements.
- Implement process improvement initiatives to optimize workflows, enhance productivity, and align with business objectives.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for improved processes.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented changes, ensuring successful adoption and alignment with organizational goals.
- Establish effective change management strategies and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate and support cross-functional initiatives, ensuring proper resource allocation, timeline management, and seamless execution.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in process improvement, applying relevant insights to enhance operations.
- Act as a liaison between departments to facilitate cross-team collaboration and ensure effective planning, communication, and delivery of key initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in process improvement, business analysis, or operations management.
- Business-level English proficiency, both written and verbal as you will be required to work closely with stakeholders from overseas.
- Demonstrated experience in analyzing and optimizing business processes with a strong focus on identifying inefficiencies and implementing effective solutions, particularly cross-functional basis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and a results-driven mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- A team player with a "ONE TEAM" mindset, capable of working collaboratively and proactively turning ideas into action.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for document processing, reporting, and presentations.
- Experience working with cross-cultural and geographically dispersed teams.

- Knowledge of change management principles and practices.
