Electrical Design Engineer (Up to $4.5K) #NJN

Location: Jurong Industrial Estate

Working hours: 8.30am to 5.30pm (Mon - Fri)

Responsibilities:

· Develop detailed electrical designs for switchgear components, ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and customer specifications.

· Design and refine electrical schematics that address power distribution, protection, and control requirements effectively.

· Create and update technical drawings to reflect design changes, ensuring accuracy.

· Select and specify electrical components—such as circuit breakers, relays, and transformers—based on performance criteria and project needs.

· Cross-check project specifications against tender drawings to ensure consistency and compliance.

· Collaborate with mechanical engineers, project managers, and manufacturing teams to integrate electrical components into comprehensive switchgear systems.

· Conduct rigorous testing and validation of electrical designs to ensure they meet performance and reliability standards.

· Attend Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and site visits as needed to address issues and ensure project requirements are met.

· Other ad hoc duties assigned

Requirements:

· Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or an equivalent qualification, preferably with a major in electrical power engineering.

· Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C , etc., is a plus.

· Knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD) software, including AutoCAD 2D/3D.

· Familiarity with switchgear industry standards, such as IEC and IEEE.

· Experience with switchgear panels (3 phase circuit/diagram) is highly preferred
