(Infrastructure / Lab Setup) Project Manager #Adhesive #Polymer #R&D #NJH

(Our client is a GERMAN MNC dealing with Adhesive tapes R&D and Mfg; The incumbant is required to set up company's New Lab in Singapore and take care of a few Lab locations within APAC region)

The Project Manager is responsible for planning and implementation of technical investment projects and providing expertise on machinery and technology to produce adhesive tapes, at all tesa locations within APAC region.

1. Essential Responsibilities and Duties

- Project management, subproject management, or participation in technical investment projects at all tesa locations worldwide, including:

o Conducting feasibility studies

o Assessing the state of the art

o Pre-planning and basic engineering

o Detailed engineering

o Factory acceptance testing (FAT)

o Commissioning

o Site acceptance testing (SAT)

o Handover to production

- Creating machine specifications and technical specifications according to defined requirements

- Evaluating bids, selecting suppliers, and placing orders within the budget

- Providing status reports on project progress

- Participating in hazard assessments and safety concepts for new equipment

- Conducting and approving factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT) with the creation of corresponding acceptance protocols

- Special tasks:

- Representing a specific field of expertise in national and international committees

- Providing advice to global production facilities in the above-mentioned area

2. Qualification

1. Educational level & Certifications

• Masters Degree; preferably in the fields of process engineering, chemistry, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or similar.
• Knowledge of industry regulations and operational guidelines.

1. Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in project management
• In-depth knowledge in relevant specific field (e.g., mixing, coating, converting, measurement and control of adhesive tape production equipment)
• Several years of experience (>3 years) in the manufacturing of technical adhesive tapes; cross-functional experience desirable.

• Excellent skills in project management, facilitation, and presentation techniques
• Experience leading teams of specialists in a project set-up
• Successful work as a project engineer at a local level in investment projects
• Strong systematic and structured working approach
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in an international environment
• Assertiveness in internal and external interfaces
• Excellent Language skills both written and spoken (fluent)
• Willingness and ability to travel worldwide for extended periods of 1-3 weeks or longer, as required.
