Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Coordination: Oversee the planning, design, and execution phases of construction projects.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure that engineering requirements are clearly defined and met.
Ensure that all engineering activities align with project timelines and cost estimates.
Team Management and Leadership: Lead, guide, and manage a team of engineers and technical staff (e.g., civil engineers, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers).
Foster teamwork and professional development within the team, ensuring effective communication and problem-solving.
Quality Assurance and Compliance: Monitor and enforce compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that engineering designs are being implemented correctly.
Ensure that engineering processes maintain high-quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Cost Management: Manage engineering budgets, track costs, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality or safety.
Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure materials and resources are ordered in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Risk Management: Identify potential engineering risks in the project and develop mitigation strategies.
Handle unforeseen issues that arise during construction and find effective solutions to keep projects on track.
Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants, and regulatory bodies to ensure that the project meets all expectations.
Provide technical advice and support to stakeholders as needed.
Documentation and Reporting: Ensure all engineering documentation is accurately maintained and up-to-date (e.g., designs, calculations, permits).
Report regularly to senior management on project progress, risks, and any engineering challenges.
