Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team and ensure the reliability, performance, and security of our database systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with HANA and MS-SQL databases, a solid understanding of RDBMS management, and a strong focus on incident response and system optimization in a 24x7 support environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond swiftly to database incidents to minimize system downtime.
• Monitor and manage database events, alerts, and outages to ensure rapid service restoration.
• Handle service requests for database changes, enhancements, and routine maintenance.
• Conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurring issues and ensure long-term stability.
• Support the deployment of both standard and custom database builds.
• Provide operational and administrative support for SAP HANA and MS-SQL environments.
• Ensure backup and recovery procedures are consistently followed.
• Proactively monitor and optimize database performance, using alert systems to prevent issues.
• Manage the safe and compliant decommissioning of systems and servers when required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 1–5 years of experience in database administration with a focus on HANA and MS-SQL.
• Proficiency in relational database management systems (RDBMS) administration and best practices.
• In-depth understanding of backup, recovery, and decommissioning procedures.
• Experience in incident and outage management within high-availability (24x7) environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage service requests.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $11,000.00 - $14,000.00 per month
