Assist the Contracts Manager in the administration and management of contracts for all ongoing projects.
Draft, review, and negotiate contract terms and conditions with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Address and resolve contractual disputes by coordinating with relevant parties and providing recommendations (including review / drafting letters / replies, as required).
Assist in review and modification of contracts as needed.
Assist in managing and resolving disputes and claims in a professional and effective manner.
Maintain records of all dispute-related communications, actions, and resolutions.
Provide contractual guidance and support to project teams to ensure proper interpretation and execution of contract terms.
Coordinate with various departments, such as procurement, operations, and finance, to resolve any contract-related issues.
Stand in for the QS in the event of resignation or during the transition period while recruiting a replacement (on a temporary basis), ensuring continuity in Monthly Progress Claim, costing for claims and variations, and any other urgent tasks that may be required, for ongoing projects.
Perform any other ad-hoc tasks or duties as required by the Contracts Manager.
Requirements
The candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Project Management or Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or other relevant fields), with a minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying and contract administration.
