Application Ops Engineer (JD#10082)

Job Summary

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to automate processes and customer experience in the Application Production team for a reputed bank.

Mandatory Skill-set

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology;
• Must have at least 3 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer with deployment automation and orchestration;
• Expertise in scripting and automation, such as Shell scripting, PowerShell, Windows scripting, and Active Directory management;
• Must have experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, TFS, Git, Ansible, Selenium, Docker;
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows OS;
• Understanding of DevOps transformation in large enterprises;
• Proficient in Agile environments with a strong understanding of design principles and best practices;
• Willingness and availability to work on shifts;
• Proven experience in leading and mentoring teams, with active participation in open-source initiatives;

Desired Skill-set

• Familiarity with ITIL best practices;
• Experience in a banking environment.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with development, security, and operations teams to automate, streamline, and optimize application deployment processes;
• Promote collaboration between development and IT operations teams;
• Maintain and enhance existing workflow processes and frameworks;
• Identify, plan, and develop tools to reduce operational costs and improve customer experience;
• Lead discussions and training with IT operations teams to promote the DevOps model within the department;
• Drive continuous service improvement by proposing solutions to reduce repetitive tasks;
• Manage and share knowledge within the team, ensuring regular updates to the knowledge database in collaboration with development and support teams.
