Job scope

Role Summary

We are searching for a qualified Accountant who will be primarily responsible for managing and reporting the company's financial information. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience, preferably with a Big Four professional services firm, and a thorough understanding of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards. The Accountant will report directly to Senior Management (CEO, CFO and COO)

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial management and reporting activities, ensuring compliance with internationally-recognised financial reporting standards.
• Implement and maintain a system for accounting transactions, including book-keeping, AR/AP, consolidation, and tax accounting.
• Coordinate with internal parties to support intercompany activities
• Prepare and ensure timely and accurate submission of Management Accounts, and Quarterly and Annual Financial Reports.
• Support forecasting and budgeting exercises as per corporate guidelines.
• Liaise with auditors and tax agents for annual auditing and tax filing.
• Assist in new processes and system implementation when required.
• Provide financial advice to guide internal decisions involving budgeting, asset purchases, tax minimization, and risk management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Financial Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a Big Four firm
• Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or similar will be an advantage
• Demonstrable understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles
• Working knowledge of statutory legislation and regulations
• Familiarity with SFRS, IFRS, and GAAP accounting standards
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and an accounting and tax software
• A self-starter who is able to plan, organize, and meet deadlines independently
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
• Can-do attitude, driven, and passionate about work
