Tunnel Engineer

Job Description

• Develop and submit method statements for EMS and related activities prior to tunneling.
• Monitor the EMS full-time during tunneling operations.
• Establish and implement primary and secondary muck reconciliation methods, such as muck pit measurement and belt weigher measurements, Fines calculation
• Prepare shift reports for EMS, including results of primary and secondary muck reconciliation for each ring built.
• Investigate breaches of upper and lower muck limits and document findings in shift reports.
• Monitor trend graphs of deviation flow, total volume, dry volume, dry mass etc.
• Coordinate with Tunnel Engineers, TBM operators, and STP operators to ensure smooth operation.
• Conduct regular inspections and calibrations of EMS equipment to ensure proper functioning and adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Analyze data trends and provide recommendations for optimizing tunneling efficiency and minimizing downtime.

Job Responsibilities

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Recognised Degree in the relevant field subject.
• Good communication, proficient in both written and spoken English.
