Assistant Accountant, Accounts Payable

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for day-to-day Accounts Payable (AP) activities, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of its full cycle from receiving invoices, processing invoices (3-way matching, costs verification, recognition and allocation) to successful payment.
• Work closely with both internal and external parties to ensure the accuracy of AP entries and to resolve any invoice discrepancies and payment issues timely.
• Responsible for AP month end close, such as AP accrual, AP & vendors reconciliation and liaising with both internal and external parties to ensure the outstanding AP related matters are resolved timely for accurate reporting.
• Track AP KPIs to ensure process improvement opportunities are identified and be implemented timely.
• Maintain and update vendor master data and ensure compliance with vendor management policies.
• Verify and process employees expense claim in accordance with company policies.
• Support audit requirements.
• Support ongoing process improvement initiatives to enhance team efficiency.
• Perform ad-hoc duties as requested.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accountancy or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in semiconductor/manufacturing industry is preferred.
• At least 2 year of relevant experience is preferred.
• Prior experience in SAP or similar ERP is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable and double accounting entries.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Be organized, responsible, hardworking, analytical and possess a positive attitude towards learning and work.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
