Job Description & Requirements
1. Strategic Security Planning
- Develop, implement, and oversee security policies, procedures, and strategies for the organization.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and determine areas of improvement in security systems and protocols.
- Establish long-term security objectives and ensure alignment with the organization's overall goals.
2. Security Operations Management
- Supervise daily security operations, including the coordination of security teams, personnel, and technology systems.
- Ensure security measures, such as access controls, surveillance systems, and alarm systems, are functioning optimally.
- Respond to and manage security incidents or breaches, ensuring appropriate actions are taken.
3. Personnel Management
- Hire, train, and manage security personnel, including security guards, technicians, and officers.
- Provide leadership and guidance to security staff, ensuring high levels of performance, compliance with policies, and maintaining a professional work environment.
- Oversee the development of training programs to keep security teams updated on the latest security threats, techniques, and technology.
4. Risk Management and Threat Assessment
- Continuously assess potential threats (physical, cyber, or otherwise) to the organization and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to address security risks and vulnerabilities.
- Advise senior leadership on potential threats, breaches, or other security concerns, providing recommendations for risk management.
5. Budgeting and Resource Allocation
- Develop and manage the security department's budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Monitor expenses related to security measures and make adjustments as necessary to ensure cost-effective solutions.
6. Compliance and Legal Requirements
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to security (e.g., data protection laws, health and safety regulations).
- Work with legal teams to ensure that security practices are in line with applicable regulations, especially in industries with stringent security requirements (e.g., finance, healthcare).
7. Collaboration with Other Departments
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., IT, facilities, legal) to ensure integrated security solutions across the organization.
- Engage with law enforcement, government agencies, and other external entities when necessary to share intelligence or collaborate on security efforts.
8. Crisis Management and Emergency Response
- Lead crisis management efforts in the event of an emergency, such as natural disasters, workplace violence, or other security-related events.
- Develop and oversee emergency response plans and conduct drills to ensure preparedness in the event of an incident.
9. Security Technology Management
- Oversee the deployment and maintenance of security technology, such as surveillance cameras, access control systems, and alarm systems.
- Stay current with emerging security technologies and tools to ensure the organization’s security infrastructure remains up to date.
10. Reporting and Documentation
- Regularly report on security activities, incidents, and outcomes to senior management and other relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records of security incidents, investigations, and actions taken.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of security systems, protocols, and industry best practices.
- Excellent crisis management and decision-making abilities.
- Experience with risk analysis, threat assessments, and security planning.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse teams and external partners.
- Familiarity with security technologies and systems.
- Knowledge of relevant security regulations and compliance requirements.
- Possess own vehicle
- Minimum 5 years of managerial experience within the security industry
- Strong background in managing teams, overseeing operations, and ensuring service delivery in the security domain.
- Proven track record of driving sales and business growth, potentially in a leadership role .
- Client Acquisition & Retention: Skilled at identifying opportunities in the market, negotiating contracts, and securing high-value deals.
- WSQ Diploma in Security Management is a must

Pay: $6,000.00 - $7,000.00 per month
