Company Overview:

Our client is a high-growth, private equity-backed infrastructure business with an established footprint and a strong pipeline of projects across the region. As the company enters its next phase of growth, they are seeking a Head of Human Resources to set up and lead the HR function. The company currently has around 100 employees.


Role Overview:

This is a hands-on, single contributor role ideal for an experienced HR professional who thrives in a lean, entrepreneurial environment. You will be responsible for building and managing all aspects of HR, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, HR operations, compliance, and policy development.

You will work closely with the leadership team to ensure the HR function supports the company’s strategic goals, while also handling the day-to-day needs of a dynamic and growing organisation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first dedicated HR hire, responsible for setting up the HR infrastructure and processes.
  • Manage end-to-end HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, performance reviews, and offboarding.
  • Develop and implement HR policies, frameworks, and best practices tailored to a growing company environment.
  • Partner with senior leadership to drive organisational culture and support business strategy through effective people management.
  • Manage HR compliance, ensuring adherence to local labour laws and industry regulations.
  • Lead compensation and benefits initiatives, including benchmarking, structuring, and administration.
  • Provide HR advisory support to managers and employees, handling employee relations issues and ensuring a positive working environment.
  • Support leadership in talent management, learning & development, and succession planning initiatives.
  • Be both strategic and tactical—comfortable rolling up sleeves to execute HR tasks as needed.


Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • 8–12 years of progressive HR experience, with at least some prior exposure in a standalone or small-team setup.
  • Hands-on, pragmatic, and adaptable, with strong execution capability.
  • Comfortable operating independently without significant administrative or team support.
  • Prior experience in fast-growing, entrepreneurial environments (e.g., PE-backed, infrastructure, industrials, energy, or related sectors) is highly regarded.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Singapore employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
