The Department of Student Services is seeking a passionate, dedicated professional to enhance student well-being and foster a mentally healthy school community. This role requires both interpersonal and organizational skills to engage with students, staff, and external partners in promoting mental wellness.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate programs and initiatives that promote student mental wellness.
• Facilitate and organize mental health training sessions for students and staff to enhance mental health literacy and peer support networks.
• Develop and distribute mental health resources, ensuring students can easily access information and support services.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to provide students with comprehensive mental health support.
• Provide administrative support to the counselling team for mental health initiatives and outreach efforts.

Requirements

• A relevant qualification in counselling, psychology, social work , or a related field
• Demonstrate strong understanding of youth mental health issues , evidence-based interventions, and best practices in program development
• Experience and passion working with youth in education or social service settings
• Strong communication and administrative skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team
• Preferred experience (an advantage but not required):
  • Developing and executing mental well-being programs
  • Using digital tools to enhance mental health support and outreach efforts
  • Working with youth from diverse backgrounds, including those with special needs or mental health conditions .

Successful applicant will be offered a 2-year contract in the first instance.
