Job Summary
The role holder is accountable for contributing to the development and implementation of an impactful People Agenda for the functions, aligned to the Group’s People Strategy and the strategic priorities of each function, in partnership with the Heads of HR for each of the functions.
Working with a strong commercial focus on return on investment, and agility to move to where the work is, the role holder will work to drive the adoption and impact of the People Plan. The role holder will also partner relevant individual function MT leaders on their strategic people priorities.
The role holder will take the lead on pan-function people initiatives, ensuring levels of capabilities and performance are aligned with current and future business requirements and also deliver appropriate and relevant HR advice, ensuring that this is in line with the overarching business strategy, governance processes and risk appetite.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
- Partner with the Heads of HR supporting global functions with the delivery of the people plan into the global functions.
- Collaborate across HR to develop and adapt the right products and services in support of the global functions, leveraging the global HR capabilities for the benefit of the functions.
- Work directly with senior leaders in the functions on the highest value people initiatives and interventions to ensure that they can deliver the best outcomes for their employees and their functions.
- Be a strong advocate of employee experience, influencing senior leaders and HR products and processes to ensure an employee-centric approach
Business
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of the functions landscape, particularly the core roles of the functions in our business and firm-wide strategy
- Be a disruptor, building new capabilities and driving culture change and driving global change initiatives with stakeholders and wider teams
- Drive adoption of an adaptable, right-sized, right-shored operating model ongoing, working closely with the functions management team members
- Lead global talent forums and drive projects and deliverables that relate to the People Plan
Risk Management
- Understand the risk and control environment in HR’s area of responsibility and drive rectification as required
- Understand and help manage the people-related risk profile of functions including operational and reputational risk, to Group Standards
- Working with ER team, provide oversight of complex employee relations issues involving senior people, significant litigation, and high-profile or broad business issues
- Support the effective implementation of Risk Management framework within the role remit
- Ensure effective processes are in place to identify, manage, monitor and report risk
Governance
- Embed the Group’s values and code of conduct, as it relates to the role remit, to ensure that adherence with the highest standards of ethics, and compliance with relevant policies, processes and regulations among employees form part of the culture.
- Engage with relevant audit report findings across the relevant functions and ensure feedback is acted upon.
Our Ideal Candidate
- 12 years of experience ideally a HRBP function, or in a broader HR capacity
- Exceptional leadership capabilities and experience management large multi-disciplinary teams
- Strong Communication and Influencing skills
- Exposure to working with multi-cultural/geographic teams and prior experience working in a matrixed environment
- Data-oriented personality with a client centric mindset
- Degree or professional qualification from a recognised academic institution / professional body
- Desirable: Professional certifications in HR or related commercial discipline
