Cloud Specialist (Permanent Role)

Job Summary:
We are looking for a Cloud Specialist to design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions. The role involves managing cloud services, ensuring security and compliance, optimizing performance, and supporting cloud-based applications.

Requirements/Skills:

• Strong foundation in IT, computer science, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with cloud computing, including service models, deployment strategies, security best practices, automation, and cloud migration.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, along with experience in management and monitoring tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or Node.js.
• Familiarity with databases and storage solutions, including MySQL, MongoDB, and S3.
• Understanding of networking concepts, communication protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, REST), and cloud security frameworks.
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Administrator, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, CompTIA Cloud , or Cisco Certified Network Associate Cloud.
• Additional certifications in VMware would be an advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure across platforms like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Implement and maintain cloud security, compliance, and governance policies.
• Monitor cloud environments for performance, availability, and cost optimization.
• Automate cloud deployment and configuration using tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Support cloud migration projects, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
• Troubleshoot cloud-related issues and provide technical support to teams.
• Optimize cloud resources for scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
• Manage cloud networking, storage, and database services.
• Collaborate with development and security teams to implement best practices.
• Maintain documentation and stay updated on emerging cloud technologies.
