Tax Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to join our client team. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing full sets of accounts, preparing audit schedules, and performing GST reporting. A strong background in MIS-AIS or Global Trader Programme (GTP) setup, implementation, and audit is essential, along with familiarity with Business Central and full set accounting, ideally within the shipping industry. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions and supporting tax computation, analysis, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain a full set of accounts using the ERP system.
• Prepare monthly closing reports and support the preparation of audit schedules.
• Perform GST reporting and ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
• Assist in tax computation and provide relevant analysis to support tax filings.
• Support the setup and implementation of MIS-AIS or Global Trader Programme (GTP) processes, including audits.
• Ensure all transactions are posted to the correct revenue and cost centers, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
• Assist with the implementation of new financial systems or processes where needed.

Requirements:

• Experience with MIS-AIS or Global Trader Programme (GTP) in setup, implementation, and auditing.
• Familiarity with Business Central is an advantage.
• Strong experience in full set accounting, ideally within the shipping industry.
• Proficiency in GST reporting and tax compliance.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines and produce accurate financial statements.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
