Front Risk Management- Projects and Controls Monitoring
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive 1LOD risk personnel to support our controls monitoring and global harmonisation projects (alignment of global and Asia controls). In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop sampling methodologies, identify trends, and improve data accuracy. You will also be responsible for generating and reviewing data samples on a monthly basis to ensure compliance with regulatory, operational, and business controls.
Key Responsibilities:
• Understand processes and source systems where raw data could be extracted from.
• Generate, review, and document monthly data samples for controls testing across various business processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand control requirements and ensure data sampling meets those specifications.
• Write, optimize, and maintain scripts for data analysis using programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation for sampling processes, methodologies, and results.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements in the data sampling/ control monitoring process.
• Work closely with analytics, compliance, and operations teams to address identified issues or opportunities for improvement.
• Provide insights and recommendations to improve data accuracy, control effectiveness, and monitoring strategies.
• Support the development of automated tools or dashboards to streamline sampling and reporting processes.
• Participate in UAT and perform controls when necessary
• To handle any identified control deficiencies with front office/stakeholders
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, business administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Prior experience in data analysis, reporting, and controls monitoring.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, Tableau, etc.).
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting findings and collaborating with stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
Salary: $4000-6000 (depending on the experience of the candidate)
