The role involves managing smooth programme operations, supporting learners, coordinating class schedules, tracking student progress, and ensuring accurate exam processing. Responsibilities also include promoting the programme, fostering alumni relations, organising events, and collaborating with faculty and staff.
Qualifications
Have at least a Bachelor’s degree in a social science discipline from a reputable university
Be intellectually curious and preferably have some background and a keen interest in issues relating to the Department’s areas of focus (e.g., media and society, communication management, interactive media)
Demonstrate experience and competency in working with and synthesising information from different sources
Have a strong command of the English language and be able to write in a clear and engaging manner, with a keen eye for grammar, detail and accuracy
Be resourceful in getting things done and be able to meet deadlines and work well with others
Demonstrate competency in using social media for content creation, network and audience engagement
Duties and Responsibilities
Overall Programme Management
Ensure the programme runs smoothly and effectively, prioritizing learners' needs while maintaining programme integrity and alignment with university and departmental objectives.
Deliver service excellence by assisting learners with all course-related matters, experiential learning components, ad-hoc academic counselling, and wellness issues.
Maintain data on student demand and feedback to advise Programme Directors for ongoing monitoring and review of the programme.
Lead a functional role within CNM Administration and collaborate closely with all team members.
Contribute to outreach efforts by promoting the programme in Singapore and the region, including organising programme briefings and managing marketing collaterals and social media content.
Collaborate with the Programme Director, faculty members, and Dean’s Office to manage the admission cycles, ensuring the programmes' quality.
Act as the contact point to cultivate alumni relations and enhance community cohesion, aligning with the programmes' overall branding strategy.
Class Timetable Scheduling and Course Registration
Coordinate, manage, and resolve any conflicts related to course outlines and timetables to ensure adherence to deadlines.
Communicate effectively with learners regarding coursework, including the preparation of user guides, conducting briefings, and handling course registration matters.
Provide instructors with essential information on class enrolment, learners' profiles, and teaching and assessment guidelines prior to each semester.
Student Record Management
Monitor and track learners' workload and progress, promptly addressing issues such as Leave of Absence applications and Academic Counselling.
Coordinate mid-term feedback sessions with learners, consolidate feedback, and oversee follow-up actions from various stakeholders.
Faculty Matters
Coordinate with HR and Finance departments regarding instructor engagements.
Provide teaching support to faculty utilising resources from NUS office and IT systems.
Exam Processing
Track and ensure the timely upload of marks by faculty, maintaining zero discrepancies.
Compile marks and the Board of Examiners’ report, and process learners’ requests.
Student Feedback
Prepare data for the Student Feedback System.
Event Management and Liaison
Collaborate with colleagues in the Admin Team on events such as homecoming, welcome tea for new students, and graduate tea.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Programme Director, HOD, and Reporting Manager.
Any other tasks delegated by Admin Lead or delegate.
