Position description: Perform daily warehouse operations tasks based on deliveries and inventory management
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform loading, unloading and arranging of warehouse cargo and items
- Receive, pick & pack, stuff & un-stuff containers
- Perform cargo and shipment consolidation, cross docking, transhipment and transloading if such activities are part of the warehouse or distribution centre set up
- Store materials with tagging and track records
- Ensure proper labelling for stock accuracy
- Comply with height, weight and special handling requirements in stacking, moving, and arranging items on pallets according to storage plans
- Perform warehouse operations and ensure proper housekeeping
- Report warehousing issues including maintenance or repair needs in a timely manner
- Observe workplace safety policies and procedures, including toolbox briefing and risk assessment exercise
- Operate forklift, reach truck and other equipment and machinery with appropriate license, training and refresher courses
- Participate in improvement initiatives as assigned, including 5S (sort, set, shine, standardise, sustain) techniques
- Ensure company policies & procedures, confidentiality, legal and ethical guidelines, such as Delegation of Authority are clearly communicated and adhered to
- Observe and abide by the TSS-QEHSM-01.6 Roles, Responsibilities and Authorities outline in the QEHS Manual
Educational qualifications preferred
- Category: Secondary
- Field specialization: Logistics, Supply Chain Management or equivalent
Required work experience
- Industry: Logistics, Supply Chain Management or equivalent
- Years of experience: 0 to 2
Required Competencies: Working knowledge of Warehouse Operations & Administration. Working knowledge of Warehouse Management system is preferable. Forklift License and other operator license or experience may be required for certain warehouse programmes. Good Safety Awareness. Good skill in operating equipment (where applicable)
