SLAY is a small but growing Singapore-based artisanal jewellery brand that creates and curates jewellery with purpose.
We are looking for a passionate, self-driven individual to partner with us in growing our brand presence through high quality marketing and communication.
We believe in empowering individuals and letting their talent shine. As our lead marketer and content creator, we are looking for someone who has an aesthetic aligned with our brand, an eye for detail and a drive for perfection.
You will be working closely with our founder to shape our brand story as we build our presence in the Singapore market. You’ll be responsible for managing our social media platforms, enhancing the user experience of our website, creating captivating content, and implementing new marketing ideas to enhance our digital and brick-and-mortar presence. You will also help us connect with our audience both online and in-person through engaging campaigns and events.
This role is ideal for someone eager to gain hands-on experience of growing a retail jewellery brand and experience the thrill of growing a startup business to success. Under the mentorship of the founder, you will also have the opportunity to learn about other aspects of the business with scope to expand your role based on your skills and interests.
The role is hybrid and offers the flexibility to work at your own pace, with a focus on delivering results. Opportunities to earn incentives exist as you contribute to our success.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Social Media and Content Creation
- Work closely with the founder to develop and execute social media strategies across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and Pinterest) to build a following, customer engagement and generate leads
- Produce engaging photo, video, and written content that aligns with our brand’s aesthetic. This may include at-venue shoots during events, in-store shoots, BTS shoots, UGC content etc.
- Ensure a consistent and compelling brand story across all digital platforms
- Manage and respond to comments, messages, and inquiries on social platforms
- Build relationships with influencers, brand ambassadors, and customers
- Stay up-to-date on trends and monitor competitor activity to keep content fresh and relevant
- Meta and Google ad management, conduct A/B testing to refine content performance, report on the effectiveness of campaigns and insights into audience behaviour
- Fortnightly reporting of social media analytics and performance insights (e.g., engagement, reach, follower growth)
2. Website Management (Shopify – No Coding Required)
- Make updates and changes to the Shopify website, including store layout and product listings
- Perfecting the customer communications from the website – mailer content, email workflows etc.
- Managing SEO
- Website and store inventory management
3. Retail Marketing and Alternate Sales Channels
- Collaborating with our store partners on in-store promotions, online collaborations, etc.
- Supporting market events and pop-ups (typically around Nov/Dec). For events that fall on a weekend, compensatory days off during the week will be granted
- Identifying and converting new retail partnership opportunities and sales channels (opportunity to earn incentives)
Requirements
- Knowledgeable in marketing, communications, business, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of best practices for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Pinterest
- Ability to write captivating captions and engaging content
- Familiarity with analytics tools such as Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, etc.
- Skill in photography and videography, with basic photo and video editing skills (Canva, CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or similar software)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a creative approach to storytelling
- Hybrid work - you will need to be present in person for content creation (roughly once a week) and will need to visit shoot/promotion venues as needed.
Having these skills would be a bonus:
- Use of a DSLR camera
- Graduate degree in marketing, communications, business or related field
- Experience in social media marketing, ideally within fashion, beauty, or jewelry
- Knowledge of website management on Shopify (no coding required)
- Experience with influencer marketing and partnerships
