Reports To: Chef de Partie / Sous Chef / Head Chef

Job Summary:

We are looking for a passionate and reliable Commis Cook to join our kitchen team. As a Commis Cook, you will work under the guidance of senior chefs to support daily kitchen operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in culinary arts, gain hands-on experience, and grow in a professional kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and cooking of food according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.

• Maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and in proper working condition.

• Follow instructions from the Chef de Partie or other senior kitchen staff in a timely and efficient manner.

• Assist in receiving, checking, and storing kitchen supplies and ingredients.

• Adhere strictly to food hygiene and safety standards at all times.

• Help with basic food prep duties, such as chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and assembling ingredients.

• Dispose of waste properly and contribute to maintaining kitchen cleanliness throughout the day.

• Participate in stock rotation and inventory management as directed.

• Show a willingness to learn and take initiative in improving skills and knowledge.
  

Requirements:

• Previous kitchen experience is an advantage, but not required (on-the-job training will be provided).

• Passion for cooking and an eagerness to learn.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

• Good time management and communication skills.

• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

• A strong sense of hygiene and cleanliness.
