Infant Teacher- EY1/ EY2 - North East

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the infant's physical environment is safe, clean, and stimulating, and that safety protocols are strictly followed.
• Providing emotional and physical support, such as comforting infants when they cry, assisting with sleep routines, and helping with feeding.
• Creating strong, positive bonds with the infants through consistent interaction, responding to their needs, and showing care and affection. This is critical for their emotional development.
• Working closely with other infant care staff to ensure a consistent care routine and a nurturing environment for the children.
• Attending meetings, workshops, and professional development opportunities to improve knowledge and skills.

Requirements

• LON from EDCA- EY1/EY2
• Higher Certificate in Infant Care (HCIC) / Advanced Certificate in Early Years (ACEY)
• Certificate in Infant and Toddler Care and Development (CIT)
• Certification in First Aid and CPR is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of infant development and behavior.
• Competencies in observation, communication, patience, and health/hygiene practices.
