Legal Counsel (SGX) - WC2

1. Legal & Compliance: Develop and implement legal strategies, conduct training, and ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and industry standards.
2. Policy & Procedure Development: Establish policies to mitigate risks and enhance compliance, including data protection, service agreements, and franchise/license agreements.
3. Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial contracts and legal documents.
4. Legal Advisory: Provide guidance on legal, compliance, contract interpretation, dispute resolution, and operational matters.
5. Internal Investigations: Conduct investigations on compliance breaches, legal disputes, and unethical practices, ensuring timely resolution.
6. Client & Internal Disputes: Address and respond to client feedback, complaints, and regulatory inquiries.
7. Risk Management: Oversee client onboarding risk assessments, including AML and due diligence reviews.
8. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the legal team, supporting their growth and professional development.

Requirements:

• LLB degree from a recognized university.
• 8-10 years of legal experience in Singapore, including in-house roles.
• Proven leadership and management experience.
• Strong knowledge of corporate governance and compliance frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills.
