Math Teacher

Responsibilities:

• Planning and presenting lessons to facilitate students' understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
• Preparing and distributing learning material such as notes, assignments, and quizzes.
• Mark work, give appropriate feedback and maintain records of pupils' progress and developmentt.
• Prepare pupils for external examinations and competitions.
• Manage pupil behaviour in the classroom and on school premises, and apply appropriate and effective measures in cases of misbehaviour
• Communicate with parents and carers over pupils' progress and participate in departmental meetings, parents' evenings, and organisational training events
• Sourcing the resources and supplies needed for lessons
• Ensuring that the classroom remains safe and conducive to learning.
• Grading assignments and quizzes in a timely manner.
• Invigilating quizzes and final examinations.
• Documenting and reporting on students' progress.
• Attending meetings with parents and staff.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Education with a specialization in Mathematics, or equivalent.
• Computer Skills
• At least 3 year(s) of relevant teaching experience in schools.
• Ability to teach core academic subjects other than Math would be an added advantage.
