Project Site Engineer

Key responsibilities of a site engineer:

• Technical oversight:
• Interpreting and implementing engineering drawings, plans, and specifications.Checking calculations and ensuring accuracy of measurements.
  Providing technical advice to subcontractors and site workers.Identifying and resolving technical issues that arise during construction.

• Site management:
• Setting out the site, including leveling and surveying.
  Managing the daily construction activities and work schedules.
  Supervising site labor and subcontractors.Monitoring progress and ensuring compliance with project timelines.

• Quality control:
• Inspecting materials and workmanship to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  Implementing quality control procedures and documenting findings.Identifying and addressing quality issues.
  
  
• Communication and coordination:
• Liaising with clients, architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders.
  Attending project meetings and providing updates on progress.Communicating with subcontractors regarding their work and any necessary changes.
  
  
• Safety compliance:
• Enforcing safety regulations on site and ensuring workers adhere to safety procedures.Identifying and mitigating potential safety hazards.

• Documentation and reporting:Maintaining site records and documentation including daily reports, progress reports, and incident reports.Preparing necessary technical reports and calculations.

Required skills for a site engineer:

• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and construction methods
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
