What you’ll do:

As the Monitoring Solutions Administrator, you will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of system monitoring solutions. Your primary goal in this role is to ensure the efficient performance, reliability, and security of our IT infrastructure, thereby enhancing operational efficiency and minimising downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage monitoring solutions for servers, networks, applications, and other IT infrastructure. Develop and implement SOPs and configurations to maintain consistency across all systems. Create and maintain monitoring dashboards, reports, and alerts for proactive issue detection and resolution. Collaborate with IT teams to define monitoring requirements and ensure all critical systems are effectively monitored.
• Ensure continuous monitoring and performance tuning for efficient and reliable IT systems.
• Fix and resolve monitoring-related issues promptly, coordinating with relevant teams to address underlying problems. Analyse and interpret supervising data to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement, providing actionable insights.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for monitoring configurations, procedures, and solve guidelines. Stay updated with the latest monitoring technologies and standard processes, implementing improvements as necessary.
  
  

What you’ll need:

• Demonstrable experience as a System Monitoring Engineer or in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of monitoring tools such as Nagios, Check MK, Zabbix, or equivalent. Understanding of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, databases, and cloud services.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• ITIL Certification (highly desirable)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
