About The Role

Performs engineering assignments, usually representing a significant portion of a larger project in the product development & product management area. Selects engineering techniques to solve problems and makes design recommendations. Typically requires a degree in engineering and three or more years of experience.

What You Will Do

• Leads technologies projects linked to the product group from development/ design phase to start of production.
• Directs preparation of appropriate documentation for assigned projects/ products.
• Provides technical leadership to a small group of assigned engineers.
• Ensures successful completion of the assigned project phase within the budgeted time and cost constraints.
• Participates in defining engineering approaches, and in planning and scheduling work.
• Creates or assists in the creation of comprehensive schedules to suit different users.
• Designs the implementation proposal and evaluates feasibility.
• Attends and participates in management and project team meetings regarding project timelines.
• Provides training and guidance to a lower-level scheduler with regards to the product.
• Monitors actual progress against budgeted timelines and brings to the attention of the project control manager any issues. May recommend actions that need to be taken.
• Forecasts impact of changes on budgeted timelines.
• Participates as a team member in a specific phase of a broad assignment.
  
  

Who We Are Looking For

• Successfully completed studies in Mechanical Engineering or comparable studies in the technology area.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in a comparable job as well as first leadership experience.
• Experience in leading technical projects and manage product groups
• Experience in testing procedures and documentation/ certification processes
• Very good understanding of Design processes
• Good understanding of product cost calculation
• Structure and organized way of working
• Able to prioritize and manage important milestones
• Confident handling of high-level stakeholders, leadership experience
• Able to collaborate in a matrix organization
• Experience as Product Designer/ Developer in Safes Industry
