ADS Drilling Midlands have a position for an Assistant Cable percussion Driller

The Role

The position will involve working across the UK on various sites, ranging from major infrastructure projects and construction sites to factories, highways and Rail. Work involves geotechnical drilling alongside ground source heat pump/geothermal boreholes and water borehole drilling. The candidate would be expected to work outside in all weathers and be physically fit and able to keep up with the manual handling that the job requires. Due to the nature of the works, the candidate will be expected to stay away from home in pre-paid accommodation Monday to Friday.

The role will include assisting the Lead Driller on a daily basis and will include physical works outdoors in all weathers.

Candidate requirements

We are currently looking for a hard working individual who is willing to learn and is looking for a successful future career in this field. At times the candidate may be working on challenging sites and will be expected to be able to work as part of a team.

No experience in the drilling industry is necessary as full training will be provided however the candidate will be required to have experience working as part of a team in a physical hands on role. A full, clean UK Driving Licence is essential. The ability to pass regular, random drug and alcohol screenings is an essential part of this role. Preferable but not essential is a CSCS card and B E driving licence.The candidate will have access to a company vehicle which is shared with the Lead Driller for work commuting purposes. Please note that the successful candidate will be required to reside close to Cannock/Wolverhampton as commuting is required.
