Job Posting for Business Reporting Analyst at Aiimi
Due to an internal move we are currently looking for an experienced Business Reporting Analyst to join the Aiimi team.
As the Business Reporting Analyst, you will collaborate with stakeholders to define and deliver impactful reporting solutions. This role focuses on standardising data processes, creating user-friendly reports, and driving continuous improvement to support data-driven decision-making.
A day in the life of an Aiimi Business Reporting Analyst:
Engage with business stakeholders, from executive and board level to senior leadership level to:
Capture and define stakeholder reporting and analytics requirements, which may involve the facilitation of workshops
Proactively seek stakeholder feedback and inspection of reports to validate that they still meet their requirements, or if new requirements need to be met
Define and standardise common reporting dimensions and metrics at the enterprise level
Reverse-engineer existing localised datasets and business processes, to map-out data lineage and business logic
Standardise and integrate existing localised datasets into managed, centralised database
Standardise and integrate existing manual processes into managed, automated business logic
Design, build, and manage:
Drive an iterative approach to the design and build of reports, so that business value can be realised quickly and incrementally
SQL tables and relational database architecture in Azure SQL DB
Internal business logic within SQL Views in Azure SQL DB
Process maps, flow charts, data models (logical, physical), business glossaries, and other documentation
Developing user friendly, easy to consume dashboards and reporting in Power BI
Developing bespoke data capture processes (as required) using Power Apps
Continuous improvement:
Proactively sourcing opportunities to improve and streamline reporting processes and capabilities as these evolve over time
Proactively testing with users if their reports are still user friendly or if their design and layout could be improved
Requirements
Excel (ability to extract and define business logic from complex formulas and lookup mechanisms)
SQL (database architecture, queries, security).
Systems integration (Postman, Rest APIs, OAuth authentication, JSON parsing).
Power Apps
Power BI
Ability to extract and define business logic from complex semantic models and DAX code
Able to create dashboards and reports in alignment with standardised company template
Python - not essential but a nice to have
