Journalist

Overview:

Astor Media is seeking a talented and proactive reporter to join the editorial team covering four of its leading automotive titles: Business Motoring, Business Vans, Motor Trade News, and Leasing Broker News.

The role offers a unique opportunity to work at the heart of the UK’s B2B automotive media landscape, with a focus on fleet, leasing, EVs, dealer networks, and van-based SMEs.

Key responsibilities:

This is a fast-paced, varied reporting role spanning daily news, interviews and feature writing across four specialist titles.

The successful candidate will deliver well-researched, accurate and engaging content that meets the needs of leasing brokers, fleet decision-makers, motor trade professionals and business vehicle operators.

You will attend product launches, press briefings, trade events and award ceremonies across the UK, and must be confident interacting with senior industry stakeholders. A full, clean UK driving licence is essential.

The role includes:

• Writing daily news stories for Business Motoring, Business Vans, Motor Trade News and Leasing Broker News
• Attending vehicle launches, dealership visits and fleet events
• Interviewing key figures in the leasing, dealer and fleet sectors
• Supporting event coverage, newsletters and branded content where required
• Working closely with the editorial and sales teams to maintain each brand’s voice and focus

The ideal candidate:

We’re looking for a capable journalist with a strong interest in the business of motoring. Previous experience in automotive or trade journalism is advantageous, but not essential.

The role would also suit a local news reporter looking to move into specialist media. You must have excellent written English, a sharp news sense, and the confidence to build contacts and represent our titles professionally.

A full UK driving licence is a requirement of this role.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £22,237.02-£25,037.02 per year
