Job Summary We are seeking a skilled CNC Miller to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in operating CNC Milling machines. This role involves producing precision components and ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the production process. The CNC Miller will work closely with engineering and production teams to assemble parts and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Duties
Operate CNC Milling machines to produce components according to specifications.
Read and interpret technical drawings and CAD models, utilising SolidWorks as necessary.
Set up tooling and fixtures for machining processes, ensuring optimal performance.
Perform quality checks on finished products using basic maths for measurements and tolerances.
Collaborate with team members to assemble components, ensuring accuracy in fabrication.
Troubleshoot machine issues and perform basic maintenance as required.
Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Assist in the training of new staff members on CNC operations and safety protocols.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a CNC Miller or similar role within a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in Heidenhein software is highly desirable.
Proficiency in CADCAM software is highly desirable.
Strong mechanical knowledge
Basic maths skills for precise measurements and calculations.
Experience in warehouse operations or assembly processes is beneficial.
Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
