CNC Miller/Turner

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Miller to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in operating CNC Milling machines. This role involves producing precision components and ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the production process. The CNC Miller will work closely with engineering and production teams to assemble parts and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Duties

• Operate CNC Milling machines to produce components according to specifications.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and CAD models, utilising SolidWorks as necessary.
• Set up tooling and fixtures for machining processes, ensuring optimal performance.
• Perform quality checks on finished products using basic maths for measurements and tolerances.
• Collaborate with team members to assemble components, ensuring accuracy in fabrication.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and perform basic maintenance as required.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Assist in the training of new staff members on CNC operations and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CNC Miller or similar role within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in Heidenhein software is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in CADCAM software is highly desirable.
• Strong mechanical knowledge
• Basic maths skills for precise measurements and calculations.
• Experience in warehouse operations or assembly processes is beneficial.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Working Days - Tues, Weds & Thurs

Working Hours - 0600 - 1430
