Responsibilities:
- Greet and seat customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Take food and drink orders accurately and promptly
- Provide menu recommendations and answer customer questions about the dishes
- Upsell additional items, such as appetizers, desserts, or specialty drinks
- Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner
- Ensure customer satisfaction by checking on them throughout their meal
- Process customer payments and handle cash transactions
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure accurate order preparation and timely delivery
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area
Skills:
- Excellent hospitality skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Basic math skills for handling payments and making change
- Knowledge of culinary terms and familiarity with different types of cuisine
- Understanding of food safety regulations and proper handling procedures
- Ability to upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience for customers
- Proficient in time management to prioritize tasks during busy periods
- Effective communication skills to interact with customers, kitchen staff, and other team members
Note: Previous experience working in a restaurant or similar hospitality environment is preferred but not required. Training will be provided for candidates who demonstrate the necessary skills and willingness to learn.
