Stockroom Assistant (Seasonal)

Snape Maltings Trading Ltd is the wholly owned subsidiary of Britten Pears Arts (BPA), a pioneering music, arts and heritage charity based on the Suffolk coast at two popular, historic visitor destinations: The Red House and Snape Maltings. We emerged from the creative partnership of Benjamin Britten, one of the greatest composers of the 20th century, and his professional and personal partner, singer Peter Pears.

Today, Snape Maltings and The Red House have become cultural destinations. There are independent shops, art galleries, restaurants and cafés, as well as the world-famous Snape Maltings Concert Hall. 100% of the profits from these businesses go towards the charitable work of Britten Pears Arts.

We are currently looking for a Seasonal Stockroom Assistant to join our friendly team.

The role starts in July and ends at the end of December. Working days are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 1000hrs-1630hrs

Requirements for Stock Room Assistant:

• Able to prepare and code stock accurately.
• Attention to detail and strict deadlines.
• A collaborative and strong team player
• A positive 'can do' attitude.
• Reliable and punctual
• Physically capable of lifting and carrying stock items and boxes.

Responsibilities for Stock Room Assistant:

• Assist with receiving, checking and coding deliveries accurately and efficiently.
• Unpacking and preparing stock for the sales floor.
• Ensure stock reaches shop floor as promptly as possible when needed.
• Keeping breakages to a minimum, accurately recording damaged stock.
• Completing price change.
• Picking and packing online orders.
• Assist in the shop on tills if needed.

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: £10.50-£11.44 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 24 per week
