One of our clients, in the hospitality industry, is seeking to hire a Cyber Security - GRC Specialist to join her team.

Job Summary:

To deliver insightful financial analysis, strategic advice, and actionable recommendations for the F&B operations, including franchises, own-brand restaurants, and other venues, aimed at helping the business achieve and surpass its financial goals and strategic initiatives. Serve as a trusted partner and critical advisor to the F&B operations teams, Operations Directors, and broader management, playing a pivotal role in decision-making processes driven by financial expertise and risk awareness.

Key Responsibility:

• Review, analyze and understand the end-to-end financials the F&B operations (Franchises, own-brand restaurants and other venues), alongside all relevant KPIs and other metrics, in order to be a dependable source of information so that the business can properly understand F&B performance.
• Act on the insights gained to provide guidance and input into decision making, framing financial metrics in a way that all levels of the business and differing stakeholders understand and make informed decision.
• Appropriately challenge the business in order to ensure a risk-intelligent culture and identify issues as they arise.
• Understand the fundamentals of the financial statements, including operations, finance processes, systems & data in order to be able to know how to interrogate data (working collaboratively with other teams) in order to solve problems and measure performance.
• Work with the BI and Procurement teams to interrogate non-financial datasets (e.g. procurement of direct goods through the central procurement system) to properly improve analysis of margins and other F&B related activity.
• On-going monitoring of financial performance against budgets and forecasts, at venue level and overall P&L.
• Collaborate with other finance teams and the BI team to develop a suite of regular reports that are adopted as universal by the business and used to understand business performance.

Skills & Experience:

• Professional Accounting / Finance qualification
• Proven experience in working collaboratively with cross- functional teams
• Leadership experience or qualities to drive financial initiatives and influence decision making
• Experience in developing and implementing strategic financial plans & budgets that align with the overall business objectives
• Broad knowledge of accounting principles
• Familiarity with the operating models of F&B businesses
• Understanding of how operational and other business decisions impact financial metrics
• Understanding of accounting standards and financial reporting, tax and compliance to identify relevant issues as they arise and knowledge of where to seek guidance on behalf of the business
• Knowledge of Key industry metrics
• Knowledge of business operations, e.g. different revenue streams (rental & associated income from existing owners, retail catering, shops, bars, cleaning, site maintenance, caravan sales, self-catered & touring holidays).
