Automation Engineer

Automation Tester – Sheffield / Hybrid - up to £50,000

I am looking to speak with experienced Automation Testers who are local to Sheffield for weekly office visits. This could be a good fit for you if you have work with either C# or Java for Automation testing. You will work closely with the Senior/Lead Automation Engineer to make continual improvements to the Automation frameworks in place.

Responsibilities will include:

• Identify, document, and track bugs and performance issues, providing detailed reports and actionable recommendations.
• Maintain and enhance automation frameworks and test scripts to ensure scalability and adaptability.
• Design, develop, and implement automated test scripts using Selenium
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and create effective test plans.
• Analyse test results, investigate failures, and work closely with the development team to resolve issues.
• Document test processes, scenarios, and outcomes to maintain clear and comprehensive testing records.
• Stay informed about industry trends, emerging tools, and best practices in test automation.

We are looking for people with:

• Minimum 3 years in Automation Testing using C# or Java
• Minimum of 3 years working with Selenium
• Experience with Automated API Testing using Rest Assured or Rest-Sharp
• Experience of CI/CD
• Working within an Agile/scrum environment
• Experience with Version control systems such as Git
• Experience with Database queries (SQL)
• Experience with Performance or Load testing is highly desirable
• Great communication skills and detail-oriented
