Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Ashby-De-La-Zouch for a Setting Out Engineer. The Setting Out Engineer will be responsible for the accurate setting out of construction sites, ensuring all measurements are precise. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting drawings and ensuring all survey data is accurate, assisting in the development of site plans, using the latest surveying equipment, and liaising with project teams to provide the needed data. Other responsibilities include conducting quality checks and verification of survey data and collaborating with on-site personnel to ensure project goals are met efficiently.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in using total stations, GPS, and other surveying equipment
• Strong knowledge of CAD software and survey data processing tools
• Experience in site setting out and construction surveying
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Relevant qualifications in surveying or a related field
• Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the construction industry is an advantage
