Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer

The successful candidate will join our team of design engineers, designing can manufacturing solutions for the aluminium can making industry. This will be a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to develop as an engineer in an expanding industry working as part of a world leading team.

Description:

The successful candidate will work as part of the Design team. They will be responsible for all aspects of engineering design, creation of bills of materials and manufacturing drawing packs.

There will also be an opportunity to work on new product development, research and development and continuous improvement projects.

• We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking individual with a thirst for knowledge. The candidate would ideally have a good hands-on mechanical background, a general interest in how things work, a good understanding of assemblies and how components fit together. Strong engineering drawing and 3D CAD skills are essential. Full product training will form part of the job role.
• Ideally the candidate would have an understanding of sheet metal, laser cutting and folding, mechanical drives, basic machining (turning and milling) and an eye for quality and detail.
• The successful candidate must be able to work accurately and meticulously with a keen attention to detail. They should have good literacy, numeracy and communication skills and be able to work independently. Basic knowledge of Microsoft office products is essential.
