Deliciously Ella’s mission is to help people eat real food again, with more plants, more of the time. We are growing fast and we’re looking for talented, passionate, purpose-led people who share in our mission to help us get there.
Every day, we work to cultivate positive change, sharing delicious, natural, plant-based recipes and food products with the aim of building the world’s leading plant-based platform. Starting from a recipe website, the business has evolved into a restaurant, a range of plant-based food products, an app, a collection of bestselling recipe books and a growing social media community that sits at the heart of what we do.
We launched our first food products in 2016 and have since launched a wide range of products across different categories. We work with all the major grocers and OOH retailers across the UK. We also have a growing international business in the US and Europe.

Working at Deliciously Ella
We have around 75 team members across three sites. Our Head Office is based in the heart of central London, on Tottenham Court Road, and this is where our Leadership Team work, alongside our Commercial, Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing and People teams. Our restaurant, Plants, is just down the road near Bond Street, and is a celebration of plant-based eating. Our factory site near Milton Keynes produces some of our best-loved products like our energy balls, caramel cups, nut butter bites and dipped nuts.
What are we looking for?
Plants by Deliciously Ella are on the lookout for a creative chef who is passionate about making plant-based food delicious and exciting.
Purpose of the role
Your Responsibilities
- Assisting in food preparation
- Cooking and preparing elements of dishes, individually and assisting other chefs, with the ability to produce high quality basics.
- Helping with deliveries and re-stocking the kitchen
- Contributing to maintaining high kitchen and food safety standards, including cleaning and tidying sections
Your team
You will be working for our Head Chef, Franco Casolin, alongside a team of three other chefs. Our Front of House team is led by our General Manager, Bled Matranxhi.
What You Will Bring (skills And Experience)
- Ideally you have at least one year's experience in a Commis Chef role
- You have an understanding of basic food hygiene practices and health & safety procedures
- You are comfortable with basic cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and processes
- You are able to multitask and work efficiently under pressure, with supervision
- You have excellent attention to detail, including strong written and numerical skills
- You are a good communicator, able to build relationships with all types of people and have an enthusiasm to learn from those around you.
- You are a glass half full person, positive and open to embrace new ideas and processes. You like working in a fast paced environment.
