Responsible to: Online Sales and New Goods Manager

Salary: £13,642.20 (Full Time Equivalent £22,737)

Hours: 22.5 hours Monday to Sunday

Location: Huddersfield, Manchester Road

As well as our 15 actual shops, we have a growing online operation too, selling items people have donated on our online second hand store as well as new branded goods and Christmas cards etc in our online shop. All to help us generate vital income to fund our care and support for children and families in West Yorkshire.

As one of our online sales assistants youll source, research, list, sell and dispatch items sold online, ensuring we deliver excellent customer service at all times. Youll have experience selling items via internet-based trading sites, online second hand stores or social media sites, excellent attention to detail and good organisational skills.

Role Summary

Our vision is to deliver pioneering care through pregnancy, childhood and loss, wherever families need us, whatever the future holds. This role supports our vision by providing support to the online sales and new goods manager in effectively researching, listing, selling and dispatching items sold online.

Main Duties and Key Responsibilities

  • Source, sort, research and prepare products for sale through all our online channels
  • Ensure that we deliver excellent customer service at all times
  • Ensure all items sold online are packaged carefully and dispatched promptly
  • List and process orders of branded and seasonal merchandise placed on our online shop
  • Carrying out any admin related to selling online including arranging deliveries, payments and gift aid
  • Liaise with other shops within the retail department to ensure all items are appropriately transferred for online sales
  • Support the training and development of volunteers
  • Comply with all legislation as detailed in the online trading policy
  • Complete annual mandatory e-learning.

Skills and experience

Essential:

  • Experience of selling items via internet-based trading sites
  • Organisational skills
  • Experience of building relationships face to face and virtually
  • Track record of excellent customer service
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Experience of working in a fast paced environment.

This role may involve weekend work so flexibility is essential.
