NPD Manager, Cosmetics and Accessories

About The Role

This key position in the New Product Development department focuses on creatively conceptualizing product ideas and translating them into inspiring activation plans. The NPD person will oversee daily developments and serve as the primary contact for the category. Acting as the timeline guardian for projects, they will manage communication as needed. This role will also involve handling more complex developments and high-visibility projects, requiring foresight to identify potential obstacles and collaborate directly with the C-suite to mitigate risks.

As the NPD Manager, you will:

• Drive the NPD calendar with innovative concepts in Cosmetics & Accessories.
• Manage the complete NPD process from inception to delivery for multiple projects, as well as risk assessment through clear communication and cross-functional alignment, working directly with the founder (the main creative).
• Ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery.
• Collaborate creatively to define innovation and product marketing strategies with insights from customers and industry experts.
• Implement efficient process management practices.
• Lead daily interactions with contract manufacturers, representing Global Beauty Brands in communication and troubleshooting.
• Solve complex development challenges effectively.
• Work cross-functionally and internationally to bring ideas from conception to delivery.
• Manage weekly NPD meetings and present to the C-Suite when necessary.
• Manage CPA and reassess projects to find solutions when unexpected challenges arise.
• Collaborate with the Supply Chain team to manage project logistics and address issues promptly.
• Utilize knowledge of average formula and packaging COGs, partnering with procurement to negotiate optimal costs.
• Prepare NPD information for forecasting decks and support presentations to commercial teams during briefings.
• Oversee the sampling process.
• Collaborate with the C-suite, regulatory, graphics and marketing teams to bring the product to delivery. Manage the approval process, considering all feedback.
• Travel as needed to meet suppliers, conduct onsite approvals, and perform trend research.
• Represent the product development team in communications with marketing and commercial sales, demonstrating strong presentation and leadership skills.
