Assistant Management Accountant

Location: Bristol/Hybrid

Working Period: Full Time

Reports to: Head of Reporting & Planning

Salary: £37,500 - £41,000

 

Key Objectives of the Role

We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Assistant Management Accountant who thrives on solving problems and takes pride in both personal and team achievements. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, enthusiasm, and excellent communication skills, enabling them to collaborate effectively within a team.

 

In this role, you will work within the Finance Reporting and Planning team, playing a crucial part in delivering accurate and timely financial information to Yugo Operations, the Fund Controllers and Portfolio Managers with our sister company GSA, as well as working directly with external investors.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the month end close process and delivery of monthly and quarterly P&Ls for properties managed by Yugo in European regions
  • Support with problem solving and process improvement.
  • Perform P&L reviews with Yugo Operations team and Finance Business Partners to support their understanding of property financial performance, which in turn allow them to provide insightful analysis to investors
  • Support the preparation of monthly management accounts and analysis against Budget/Forecast.
  • Preparation and completion of full and accurate balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Delivery of appropriate business and financial analysis as required.
  • Contribute to audit processes over property statutory accounts, ensure requests from property auditors are addressed on a timely basis.
  • Support mobilisation of new properties or disposal of existing properties where required.
  • Assist with queries and requests from property investors.
  • Providing support to other departments with any other tasks as required

 

Experience/Knowledge/ Qualifications
To be successful in this role you’ll need:

  • Part qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA or qualified AAT
  • At least 2 years’ experience working within a finance team
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Month end experience
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise appropriately
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Confident and pro-active with strong communication skills
  • Self-starter who shows initiative

 

It is desirable for us for you to have:

  • Oracle NetSuite experience
  • PowerBI experience
  • Written and spoken Spanish and/or German
