Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Yard Operative to join our team in Harlow Timber Systems (Eastern), Halstead, CO9 2SZ. The Yard Operative will be responsible for selecting timber and metal materials, maintaining the general upkeep of the yard, and must adhere to all health and safety regulations at all times
What you’ll be doing as Yard Operative:
Selecting and preparing timber and metal materials for orders
Loading and unloading deliveries safely and efficiently
Organising and maintaining yard inventory
General housekeeping and assisting with general upkeep and maintenance of the yard area
Operating forklifts and other yard machinery (if certified)
Inspecting materials for damage or defects before dispatch
Your Skills:
Ability to follow health and Safety procedures and protocols, including reporting hazards and incidents
Ability to work collaboratively with other team members and departments
Desirable but non-essential
Forklift Licence
