WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Buyer to support our Purchasing Director. This role is ideal for someone passionate about retail (preferred but not essential) and eagerness to learn. You’ll assist with sourcing, negotiating, stock planning, and trend analysis to help us deliver quality and value to our customers. The successful applicant must have excellent organisational skills, communication skills, proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and have a problem-solving attitude.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Support the Purchasing Director with day-to-day administrative tasks
· Help source new products aligned with customer trends, business goals, and stock gap opportunities
· Monitor stock levels and adjust volumes based on sales history and forecasts
· Liaise with internal departments (Marketing, EPOS, Warehouse, and Shop Floor) to ensure smooth product launches and promotions
· Track stock figures, analyse sell-through rates, and manage FBA inventory restocking directly from suppliers and warehouse
· Conduct regular market and price appraisals
· Maintain accurate product and supplier records in internal systems
· Assist in negotiating pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers
· Attend supplier meetings, trade shows, and product launches as required
· Carry out other duties as directed by the Senior Management Team or Company Directors
HOURS OF WORK
Monday – Friday, Office Based at our site in Sturminster Newton, 8am – 5.30pm, 42.5 hours per week.
HOLIDAY
28 days per year for full time employee inclusive of all Bank Holidays.
