We are seeking fun, customer-focused and energetic Waiting Staff and Restaurant Team Members to join our iconic Heavenly Desserts store in Festival Place - Basingstoke on a full-time and part-time position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To uphold the Heavenly Desserts premium service experience consistently for all our guests.
  • Upholding compliance towards all health and safety, food safety guidelines, following policies and procedures and maintaining a spotlessly clean working environment.

  • Prepare our desserts to the highest possible standard for each and every guest.
  • Build relationships with fellow team members and deliver World Class Customer Service to our guests.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work place so that employees can locate resources and products as needed
  • Act with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promotes the culture and values of Heavenly Desserts.
  • Anticipates guest and business needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues
  • Communicate information to the Manager so that the team can respond as necessary to create a premium environment during each shift.
  • Deal effectively with customer complaints and queries in store taking responsibility to resolve these wherever possible.

Qualifications

  • Previous restaurant experience
  • Proficiency in food preparation
  • Strong understanding of food safety protocols
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Experience in upselling and promoting menu items
  • Time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively

Job Duties:

  • Greeting and seating guests via Guest Journey
  • Taking customer orders, serving customers, clearing/setting tables.
  • Providing excellent customer service.
  • Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
  • Follow recipes and presentation specifications
  • Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Maintain a clean working station whilst adhering to health & safety standards
  • Assist with the cleaning and organisation of kitchen and equipment
  • Restock items as needed throughout the shift
  • Adhere to all food hygiene & safety standards
  • Operate an industrial dishwasher, washing dishes and glassware by hand when necessary
  • Unload dishes, silverware, and glassware promptly and store them in the appropriate places
  • Carry out basic cleaning tasks around the premises, including emptying rubbish bins, cleaning drink machines, and cleaning any spills and/or broken glass immediately
  • Assist chefs and waitstaff as needed, especially during peak hours
  • Report any serious incidents to upper management, such as machine failure or broken facilities

Business Requirements:

  • Provide the best quality desserts, beverages, and experience consistently for all guests by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.
  • Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
  • Presents oneself professionally, be well groomed; ensure adherence to health and safety rules and quality store operations standards are met or exceeded.
  • Must be available to work between the hours of 10:00 am and 11:30 pm and have access to reliable transportation to and from the workplace.
