Retail Assistant (Full Time)

Job Title: Retail Sales Associate

Hodgson Fish are looking for someone to Join our team and work within our retail division. Driving licence and transport would be a benefit as maybe occasions when you are needed to travel between stores. We have stores in Hartlepool, Durham, Yarm and Sedgefield. Once training complete you will have a main base but may need to cover Holidays. Full training will be given but some retail or food experience would be beneficial. You will be based Fulltime in Hartlepool for your first 2 weeks training.

Responsibilities:

• Assist customers with selection and purchase of fresh items from the counters
• Weighing, packaging, and labelling products
• Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment
• Receiving new deliveries of fresh produce
• Ensures all items are rotated according to ‘First In First Out’ (FIFO) standards

- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints
Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transactions
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
