Internal Sales Executive

About the Job

Your role will be to work within our team of internal sales executives, supporting your assigned member of the external sales team. You’ll be contacting customers in their sales area by phone and email – booking meetings, chasing down orders, reporting, reactivating lapsed customers, and introducing customers to our latest promotions and campaigns. 

This is a frontline role, and you’ll be responsible for providing professional, friendly and helpful service at key points of contact with our customers.

About the Role

Your main areas of responsibility:

Engaging with new leads: Engage with new website leads and potential customers to gather information, increase their readiness to buy and maximise their potential with us. 

Nurture and grow existing customers: Call and build relationships with existing customers. Respond to inquiries and feedback and initiating contact to share updates, insights, and relevant campaigns. 

Reporting:

1. Revenue for the month (By Sales Rep)
2. Behind Budget YTD
3. New Customer Lists – Chase for first/Second Orders
4. Lapsed Customers – Not ordered in last 12 months.
5. Follow ups for Account Managers 

Marketing campaigns: To maximise sales and revenue by keeping our customers aware of our Latest Offers/New Products.

CRM Maintenance & Reporting: Management and control of the company CRM systems – Netsuite, Hubspot and Numerik.

Research: Getting to know our customers by Google Search, Companies House and Credit Safe. 

KPI’s: Working towards challenging but achievable KPIs. 

Other: Additional relevant ad hoc tasks and projects as agreed with the line manager.

A bit about you

• Proven experience in customer service and sales, building and maintaining strong relationships
• Good at networking – e.g. exhibitions and customer events
• Experience in fast-paced sales teams and environments
• Strong commercial awareness
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM tools
• Self-motivated, diligent, and detail-oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
• Embraces change, flexibility, continuous improvement and a fast-paced environment.
• Action-oriented and able to take ownership of tasks and execute them on time.
• Collaborative team player who is humble and willing to learn from mistakes

You’ll be office-based, working from our headquarters in Peterhead. Part-time hours may be considered.
