We are a busy town centre bar and tearoom cafe serving a wide range of wines, beers, soft drinks and both classic and specialty cocktails. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a passion for hospitality, who knows how to do the job well but is always looking for ways to improve both themselves and the company they work for. They will take pride in their work, be punctual, well presented and like to keep their surroundings clean, tidy and presentable.

We are currently offering both part time and full time bar staff roles. Applicants must have previous experience for this role and be happy to work weekends and late nights.

Ideally, candidates will have evening availability and occasional daytime shifts. Candidates must be 18 .

Job Purpose:

To prepare beverages for customers and serving them at the bar or to their table. Maintaining a clean and organised work environment.

Job Duties:

· Preparing both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks using an extensive range of ingredients including fresh fruits, juices, syrups, liqueurs, spirits, bitters and soda.

· Taking orders from customers or waiting staff and serving drinks to a high standard in good time.

· Creating a personalised experience by assessing customer preferences and making recommendations.

· Providing a positive and friendly experience by interacting with guests

· Ensuring payment is made by keeping tabs up to date or taking immediate payment for drinks.

· Checking identification to verify legal age requirements for all customers.

· Ensuring the bar is well stocked with an adequate supply of wine, beer, liqueurs, mixers, fruit, ice, napkins, straws, glassware etc.

· Cleaning the bar, tables, chairs, and work area to maintain a clean and presentable environment.

· Organising the bar area to streamline drink preparation.

· Taking orders and serving food to customers at the bar or at tables.

· Restricting alcohol intake for customers who may have over consumed or are acting inappropriately.

· Maintaining a pleasant atmosphere within the bar by monitoring lighting, sound, temperature and adjusting when necessary
