JOB ROLE

Becoming an integral part of sustainable champions group and delivery of the Sustainability and Ethical strategy supporting the creation of this ‘way of life’.

To administer and maintain accurate records, enabling the business to deliver against the Butterfly Mark accreditation obligations, ensuring continuous improvement and disclosure of key supply chain and product information as appropriate to meet Ethical, Social, Governance (ESG ) legislative requirements, enabling the brand proposition to exceed customer expectations.

The Sustainability Administrator supports peer and product development within the Design, Buying and Technical teams building positive relationships, always cultivating partnership within the business and across the supply chain.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working closely with the Head of Technical and Creative Development in collaboration with the Design and Buying departments to influence the development of a sustainable and exciting quality centrically yet commercially viable range.
  • Maintaining accurate records;
  • Coordinates receipt of supplier documentation and declarations of conformity, including but not limited to social audit requests, coordinating the follow-up program for continuous management and transparency of policies and practice across the supply chain.
  • Liaising with the LK Bennett International Merchandising teams to coordinate appropriate product data documentation and declarations are available when required to meet customs requirements to aid smooth global distribution of the collections.
  • General administrative support for the Head of Technical and Creative Development enabling continuous development of the supply base and business compliance to meet the commitments of the Butterfly Mark accreditation.
  • Acting as the central point of reference, developing close working relationships internally and externally with all suppliers and partners to improve understanding of sustainable working practices.
  • Supporting the Buying and Technical team to identify the need for supplier evaluation, monitoring and revising development plans providing feedback on performance of the supply chain – promoting continuous improvement.
  • Supporting the Head of Technical and Creative Development in the coordination of progress reports on sustainability initiatives escalating business critical issues.
  • Keep up to date with industry innovations in sustainability, networking internally and externally with product teams to identify and suggest opportunities in the supplier base; provide objective feedback to support the ethical, social, governance sourcing strategy where the Company has the option to capitalise on value adding, working with new technology.
  • Be the ambassador of sustainability via ethical sustainable sourcing and supplier relationships; maintain an up-to-date knowledge of safety and legal constraints and changes to legislation which could have an impact on the business.

  • IT Literate with skills in Word, Excel and Outlook packages.
